A full week into April 2025, and once again, Donald Trump’s disastrous 2nd term is dominating the headlines as usual, with news about off-the-radar negotiations, already going on with countries that have been shock-and-awed by the president’s non-sensical and foolish announcement of high-tariffs, against them, in a ridiculous trade war that is heating up dramatically.
Closer to where the common man and woman lives, was the disclosure by yet another celebrity that has decided to ditch their Tesla. This time, non-other than the wondrous Bette Midler has announced in a stunning Instagram post that, “No longer do I have to drive a symbol of racism, greed and ignorance! Life is suddenly so much better!!“”
Here’s to Bette, as she adds her name to a growing list of high-profile celebs who have ditched Elon Musk’s noxious electric car brand that has become, in the eyes of many, a symbol of all that is wrong with entitled, fabulously rich people, and their distorted world view.
The infamous Musk, himself, is wholly to blame for Tesla’s tarnished name, as who can forget the Nazi salute that wasn’t a Nazi salute at an inaugural event at the Capital One Arena in downtown, Washington DC, this past January.

The man needs to take a good long look in the mirror, if he wants to understand why so many Americans, and millions of other people, on a worldwide basis, have come to despise him, and the negativity he represents that encompasses racism, bigotry, and a decided lack of empathy for those who are themselves, not wealthy, and need the precious federal jobs that DOGE has been all too eager to vacuum up like trash on the ground, as if people losing actual jobs, isn’t all that big of a deal
It is Elon. Get real, man. What the $%#@ is wrong with you.
Other famous persons who no longer want to be seen behind the wheel of a Tesla include George Clooney, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, a man Musk himself, infamously described as a traitor to his country. The singer Sheryl Crow, and of course, numerous hardworking and successful Americans who don’t want to be seen driving a car that symbolizes the absolute worst qualities of humanity, instead of the very best.
In the future, Elon Musk’s sanctimonious mug will be prominently displayed alongside any article or book, describing how not to run a car company, and destroy your reputation at the same time.
Go on folks. Get rid of those damn battery-powered Teslas. They are hardly top-shelf cars and are anything but beautiful. You can do better and help the human race at the same time.
Saying no to a nascent oligarchy feels good.
Don’t help an entitled rich guy – the actual wealthiest individual on the planet – who thinks he’s above it all, and doesn’t have to live in the real world alongside the rest of us regular human beings, while he goes about doing POTUS’ dirty yard work destroying the federal government, so that a fascistic regime that favors privileged white men can be established in America.
