Billionaire entrepreneur and tech icon Elon Musk has apparently had enough of Washington, DC and the Trump White House and is leaving as of Friday, March 30th, 2025. Not surprising really, in that, Musk is a political novice and has absolutely no idea about the finer details, as to how things actually get done on Capitol Hill.
The Capitol Hill enclave is a place that leaves even experienced politicos wounded, bleeding – and begging for mercy.
Musk didn’t even last six months with Trump’s meandering regime.
A political group that lists and bobs from side to side like a leaky, unseaworthy ship atop the raging ocean, at the mercy of the captain’s latest political whim.
Tariffs anyone?
The unelected Musk was far from even an unofficial co-captain at the White House, and his time in Washington, DC was a failure. Not only did his earlier pronouncement about potentially cutting 2 trillion from the federal debt, turn out to be a complete bust. He had a strong hand, in the senseless destruction of USAID and that agency’s good work around the world.
Must has also completely savaged the reputation of his Tesla electric car company by the mere association with his own last name.
The Nazi salute that wasn’t a real Nazi salute at a Trump inaugural celebration, didn’t help either, and now a leading American newspaper has leveled allegations of drug use by Musk during his time with Trump in Washington.
Use that that allegedly included Ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, all of which are not exactly legal for any type of recreational consumption.
Wow!
Musk’s failure as a pseudo government employee at DOGE, his quirky personality, and the weirdness in his personal life are all a bad combination that have completely destroyed his once enviable public persona as an uber successful guy, totally unmatched in wins and dollars.
Right now, the man is like a bad cold no one wants to catch.
Yeah, Washington DC, in general, the federal government, and the White House, do not need this kind of guy hanging around. He’s bad news. Trump and the rest of his band of merry idiots cause enough problems all on their own, without the unelected Elon Musk adding anything to the mix.
So. he can grab his handy chainsaw and exit, stage left.
